Well folks , next month, less than thirty days out, we have a major event in the west for the Indian Motorcycle Community!
The Iron Indian Riders Association which has been around for almost 14 years, is having their reunion in Durango Colorado. , 10 -13 June.
As luck would have it the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group is having a multi state mini-rally simultaneously, ALSO in Durango at the Sky Ute Casino, 9-12 June
There are no official numbers, but a solid guess is upwards of 350 for the IMRG from 5+ States and 100 IIRA from around the country. That should correlate into 200-300 Indian Motorcycles running down the Million Dollar Highway!
With some incredible riding ….. you’ve got to be asking yourself …. . “Why am I not going?” Good question.. so, come join us!
Established in 2002, the IIRA is undeniably the oldest, and, premiere Riders Group, for the Indian Motorcycle Community. This group was established during the turmoil of the Indian Gilroy years and has stood the test of time. Many of it’s members of pulled together during those tough years of the Gilroy era, banded together to see Indian through the short Kings Mountain period, and embraced the Spirit Lake era. Some members even have Springfield era motorcycles , which makes them one of the most well rounded groups with the Indian Motorcycle Community … Period
You can easily join the IIRA via at this site: IRON INDIAN RIDERS
Additionally, most of the Association’s business is carried out on ” the forum” at http://www.ironindianridersassociation.com . Most of the members also belong to the Community forum which is not IIRA specific , but Indian Motorcycle specific. This is the longest running forum for all the generations of Indian Motorcycle. Many folks have been on this forum for thirteen years. So, there is a huge database of information, and …. thirteen years of lets call it … attitude. Point being , join ’em , share, ask questions, but trolls and smart asses get chewed up pretty quickly. The price of admission is worth it though.
So, come and join ’em! The 2016 IIRA Reunion in Durango CO is being discussed and rooms are filling fast!
